It’s being reported that Kate Middleton and Prince William’s charity, the Royal Foundation, has removed any mention of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry from its website. The news – reported by The Sun – comes after it was announced that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said they would be splitting royal households.
The charity removed all mention of Harry and Meghan from its title back in August, just 14 months after amending it to include Meghan after the Sussexes’ royal wedding. (The name change cost £10.)
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are now listed as the only ‘principles’ of the charity – and any other mention of the couple has now been dropped.
The homepage description now says, ‘Driven by a desire to make a difference together, the Royal Foundation is a primary philantropic and charitable vehicle for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Our programmes support a broad and ambitious spectrum of activities, ideas, and resources together to understand issues, explore creative solutions and be a catalyst for long-term impact.’
The charity was established in September 2009 to help Prince William and Prince Harry support their charitable grants. Kate Middleton joined in 2011 and Meghan Markle followed suit when she married Harry in May 2019.
