As the fall-out over the Royal couple’s bombshell announcement continues, it’s been revealed Meghan and Kate have cut ties on WhatsApp and not spoken in six months.
Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton have reportedly not spoken to each other for six months and have cut ties on WhatsApp, it’s been revealed.
Sources have told The Mirror and Sunday People that the rift between the two Royal brides is wider than ever.
It comes on the eve of The Queen overseeing an emergency summit on Monday at Sandringham between Prince Charles, Princes William and Harry to sort out the next stages of Meghan and Harry’s plan to to step back as senior royals.
Meghan, 38, is expected to join in the crisis meeting by video link from the couple’s rented mansion on Vancouver Island, western Canada where she is staying with eight-month-old son Archie.
According to royal sources, she will make the conference call if it works with her schedule owing to the eight-hour time difference between Vancouver and the UK.
As the crisis continues, it is understood Meghan was left feeling so cut off from the royals that she and her sister-in-law Kate severed all communication on a family WhatsApp chat group.
It is believed the pair have not spoken privately for six months and are further apart than ever – and ignoring Kate’s birthday celebrations last week.
An insider told the Sunday People: “Meghan feels like some members of the Royal Family look down on her because of her background.
“It has caused her a lot of upset and left relations in a very sorry state. They must find a way to resolve it and move forward as a family united.”
Kate is understood to have been disappointed by Harry and Meghan’s sensational decision to step down as senior royals.
And she is said to be angry that they went ahead with their announcement without getting clearance from the Queen.
She and husband William reportedly found out it was happening only ten minutes before it began leading TV news bulletins on Wednesday night.
