Hello, please join me in diving into the realm of rumors about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry that likely aren’t true but are fun to laugh about nonetheless. Today we’ll be talking about how Meghan and Harry act at fancy dinner parties—apparently their behavior has *really* been annoying their friends.
According to Daily Mail, the main issue here is that Meghan and Harry are “insisting” on sitting next to each other, and have “been rejoicing in affectionate dinner-table PDAs.” Why this is a problem is because long-standing rules for fancy English dinner parties say that a couple shouldn’t sit next to each other at these types of functions, but Meghan has dismissed this type of dinner party etiquette as “exclusive” and “traditional.”
The reason why couples are seated separately apparently is for fear of public displays of affection that might “[put] guests off their food.” Which, really? I feel like a couple would have to be furiously making out—like, tongues out and all—to ruin my appetite, and I doubt that Harry and Megs are graphically going at it at the dinner table.
The report adds that this “frowned upon” behavior has caused Harry’s fancy society friends to “roll their eyes” at Meghan and her “American ways,” and has annoyed some to the point where they’ve even “stopped inviting her to dinner.”
Honestly, I don’t really believe any of this report (would some actually choose to not invite Meghan to their party??), but I’m still loving the idea of this petty English drama, lol.
