The Duchess of Sussex flew to New York to watch her friend Serena Williams play in the Women’s US Open final.
Meghan Markle was wearing a sweet memento to keep Prince Harry and little Archie close to her while she’s away in the US.
The Duchess of Sussex jetted off to New York on Friday to watch her friend Serena Williams play against Canada’s Bianca Andreescu in the Women’s US Open final yesterday.
She rearranged her packed schedule to make the last minute trip, and is believed to be travelling without the Duke and their baby son.
But as she watched the match at the world famous Arthur Ashe stadium in Queens last night, she was wearing a delicate gold necklace with the initials H and A.
She was pictured playing with the pendant, reportedly by brand Mini Mini and retailing at £125.
The necklace has two tiny diamonds and is 14-karat gold, according to the Daily Mail.
She teamed it with a relaxed denim dress and a cream-coloured cardigan draped over her shoulders.
It’s not the first time Meghan has paid tribute to Archie through her jewellery.
In July she wore a necklace with the uppercase letter A as she made a surprise appearance at Wimbledon.
According to reports, the precious necklace by Jennifer Meyer retails at £278 ($350).
The Duchess of Sussex, 38, was cheering and full of smiles as she greeted fans yesterday.
A source previously told the Times : “It is a last-minute trip.
“Excited to support her friend, and then come back.”
It is understood Meghan organised the trans-Atlantic trip after staying up until 1am to watch Serena beat Elina Svitolina in straight-sets on Thursday night.
However, the trip had been mooted after her pal reached the quarter-final stage of the tournament.
Meghan boarded the aircraft alongside her security just seven hours after the end of Serena’s match, but it is not known which airline or which airport she flew out from.
The Duchess of Sussex was then seen heading to Modo Yoga in downtown Manhattan with a friend on Friday, just hours after she completed the trans-Atlantic journey.
She was joined by 60 other women for the class at the eco-conscious studio which specialises in hot yoga.
A source told People magazine : “She has been going to Modo Yoga for many years and tries to do so whenever she is in New York.”
“It was the perfect remedy for jet lag.”
The studio, based in the upscale West Village neighbourhood, charges its members $215 (£175) per month or $25 (£20) for a single class.
