Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are preparing to split from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and set up their new household .

The couple, who are expecting their first child in the next few weeks , will have their own offices based at Buckingham Palace from the spring.

Details about the new household , including the appointment of Hilliary Clinton’s campaign advisor Sara Latham, were revealed yesterday.

At the moment the same team look after the Cambridges and Sussexes, and the change coincides with Meghan and Harry leaving London and moving into Windsor’s Frogmore Cottage.

But there is one big question fans are asking – will the Sussexes get their own social media accounts?

The Royal Family, Clarence House and Kensington Palace Instagram accounts regularly share photos of the royals to the delight of fans.

The accounts are used to make official announcements, and the births of Prince George, Prince Charlotte and Prince Louis were all announced on Twitter .

A Palace source said: “Harry and Meghan have their own patronages, their own endeavours and of course their own identity so they will need to decide along with their new team how best to convey all of this to the people around the world who are interested in their work.

“It’s likely they will have their own social media platforms to publicise their work and causes, but nothing has been decided yet.”

When Meghan and Harry break away from the Kensington Palace household, their backroom staff will split and there may be a shift in the direction of their public works.

However the Fab Four will remain joint patrons of the Royal Foundation, which is the primary charitable body for the Cambridges and Sussexes.

It’s also likely that they will continue working together on big projects like their Heads Together mental health campaign.

A spokesman said: “This long-planned move will ensure that permanent support arrangements for The Duke and Duchess’s work are in place as they start their family and move to their official residence at Frogmore Cottage .”
