Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Were Warned Against Doing Interviews Because Of This Royal

To say that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s experience as a royal couple in the public eye has been trying would be a massive understatement. Though things appeared to be going well leading into their wedding in May 2018 — for some reason the British public and the press have turned against Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

Instead of embracing the Duchess of Sussex for her forward-thinking and outspoken personality –the press has resorted to bullying the new mother about everything from her race to her gender. Also, lies have been spread about her with the aid of her estranged father and siblings. It’s clear to anyone watching that Markle is near her breaking point.

This all came to a head in October 2019 when Markle and Prince Harry appeared in a revealing ITV documentary — Harry and Meghan: An African Journey. Essentially, the former actress explained that she’s, “not O.K.” Meanwhile, the duke hinted that he and his family would walk away from it all if things did not improve. However –Markle and Prince Harry were warned against ever doing that interview, to begin with.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were warned against doing interviews because of Princess Diana

Sources close to the Royal Family are now saying that the ITV documentary was deeply destructive for the Sussexes. The couple had been previously warned against appealing to the public for sympathy because of how Princess Diana was treated. Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliam explained to Daily Star,

It was highly unwise to give interviews of this sort which, whatever their appeal to Millennials, has led to ‘concern’ being expressed for Harry and Meghan appearing ‘fragile’ by sources close to William and has led to a source close to the Sussexes talking about Harry and Meghan ‘singlehandedly modernizing the royal family. If they stay I hope they absorb the fall out from this and, during their six-week rest, plan a future where their undoubted talents are used constructively!

When Princess Diana separated from Prince Charles in the early ’90s, she gave several bombshell interviews about her tumultuous marriage and life inside the royal family. These interviews drummed up even more public interest and obsession with her personal life. Sadly, it led to her tragic death in August 1997 when paparazzi chased her vehicle through the streets of Paris before it crashed.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry might not actually leave the British Royal Family

Though they are taking a six-week break in the coming weeks to spend time with Markle’s mom, Doria Ragland in Los Angeles over Thanksgiving — Fitzwilliam believes it would be extremely detrimental for the couple to leave the royal family. He revealed,

To actually alter their roles in this way would be a seismic step. They are deeply committed activists with a global reach and a huge fan base, especially online, for their work for female empowerment, mental illness, the environment, and gender equality. They can only do this effectively as senior royals. Also, there is the matter, in time, of Archie’s upbringing.

With their lawsuit against several publishers pending and a long rest ahead — we wouldn’t be shocked if the Duke and Duchess return to the United Kingdom after the holidays with a new strategy. After all, no one wants to see history repeat itself.
