Prince Harry, apparently, gave Meghan Markle some warnings and pointers for her very first traditional royal family gathering. Before joining Queen Elizabeth in Sandringham for Christmas last year, the duke gave his wife some dos and don’ts on what to do when she’s with his family.
A source told the Daily Express that Prince Harry advised his wife not to “show-off” during their game of Charades, which the royal family enjoys every Christmas night. Apparently, Queen Elizabeth is also a good actress for this game but Prince Harry told his wife not to be competitive to beat Her Majesty.
Prince Harry also warned his wife to keep quiet about the family’s traditional Boxing Day pheasant shoot. A known animal activist, Meghan, apparently, doesn’t enjoy this royal family activity. However, her husband told her that she must not speak out against hunting, which Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the royals enjoy.
The source also revealed that Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle teamed up last Christmas for the royals’ annual Christmas games. There was, apparently, no tension at the Queen’s house in Sandringham despite reports that the duchesses do not get along.
This year, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to join the royals again for the Christmas holidays with their son Archie Harrison. However, the Sussexes are also leaving for the United States and taking a break from their royal engagements for the next six weeks before returning to London for Christmas.
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and Archie are spending Thanksgiving in Los Angeles with Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland. It will be a series of milestones for their son, who will be visiting his mother’s homeland and celebrating the traditional American holiday for the first time.
The trip to America is speculated to be a test for the royal couple to see if living in U.S. would be better than living in England. According to Daily Mail, Prince Harry and Meghan are considering buying a second home in the U.S. to split their time apart from London, where the Sussexes have been struggling with much media scrutiny.
Sources said that the royals have come to accept that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle can’t work full-time as royals. Thus, a potential relocation in the States was brought up among the media but a spokesperson for the Sussexes did not comment on such reports.
