Prince William and Kate Middleton react to Kensington Palace theft

You’ve done it. I’ve done it. We’ve all done it! That’s right, I’m talking about being opportunistic. No, not on a scale of, like, grand theft auto, but taking little soaps from hotels. That sort of thing! But when you’re singer Camila Cabello, you take from bigger and better places, i.e., Kensington Palace.

During an interview with Greg James on his BBC Radio 1 program, Camila confessed that she and her mother copped an item at the Palace. “Don’t tell anybody what my mother and I did,” she started, which doesn’t really make the most sense because it’s on national radio, but oh well!

Thankfully, Greg launched into the story anyway and recounted how he dared Camila to steal a pencil (GASP!) during the event she attended at the Palace last month that honoured teen heroes. Apparently, Greg “triple dog dared” Camila to steal, and that was enough for her to do it. “You can’t not do a triple dog dare,” Cabello joked, later adding, “I still have it. I’m sorry, William, and I’m sorry, Kate.”

So what did Prince William and Kate Middleton think about Camila stealing items from their house? They decided to keep quiet about Camila but signalled that they did indeed watch her interview because they sent her a very telling emoji response.

Welp, it goes without saying that the next time Camila comes to visit (if there even is a next time), they’re gonna have to put all their good pencils away with the fine china and silverware!
